Hello! I have 50 hundred contractors in my house today so I am hiding up in my office, drinking tea and having Zoom meetings. Ahh, the life of working from home during a pandemi lovato. Anyways, to the soccer links!
Donald Wine (hey, I know him!) tells us everything we need to watch for as the USMNT starts the Octagon as World Cup Qualifying is here and upon us.
Ola Kamara continues to over-perform his expected goals numbers even as he gets more and more minutes under his belt. Maybe this is some karmic rebalancing for his underperformance last year. Either way, I’ll take it!

This is terrible and I hate it. The Rochester Rhinos, most recent non-MLS team to win the US Open Cup, are getting a terrible generic rebrand as they look to re-launch. We must keep the Richmond Kickers strong and keep some of our glorious soccer team names!
TRANSFER: Nico Brown transferred to @GVLTriumph for undisclosed transfer fee— Maryland Bobcats FC (@MDBobcatsFC) September 1, 2021
We want to thank Nico for his time at the club & for etching his name in club history as a member of our first ever pro roster. We wish him nothing but the best!

A local transfer the Maryland Bobcats to USL-1’s Greenville Triumph. Given that this is a purchase by a 3rd division team, I wonder how much that transfer actually is.
John Herdman, when asked about this: “I don’t know. I’d imagine there’s probably a lot of people in Canada that fly drones. When a big team like Honduras turns up I’m sure people are probably interested in what they’re doing when they come into our country.” https://t.co/uM51UT4Hmp— Charlie O'Connor-Clarke (@charliejclarke) September 1, 2021
Hmmm. That answer does not make me believe John Herdman.
That’s all I have today. What’s up?
