Raise your hand if you had this guy in your team

The team at the top of the table led this round, with BL4CKnRED putting up a score of 105 points.

That score helped grow their overall lead to 24 points.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers

Andre Blake (PHI, $9.0) kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty on the way to 14 points, leading the position. Behind him were Pedro Alves (DAL, $5.8) with a clean sheet and 11 points, and Maxime Crepeau (VAN, $7.4) with a clean sheet and 10 points. DCU’s Bill Hamid ($6.4) scored 3 points.

Defenders

A trio of players tied for the positional lead, with each scoring 15 points on a clean sheet and a goal — Jack Elliott (PHI, $8.5), Andrew Gutman ($8.3), and Auston Trusty ($9.0). The D.C. defense was led by Andy Najar ($8.1) with 7 points; followed by Donovan Pines ($5.1) with 5; Steven Birnbaum ($5.2) with 3; and the trio of Antonio Alfaro ($4.2), Joseph Mora ($4.0), and Chris Odoi-Atsem ($4.0) with 1.

Midfielders

Jacob Shaffelburg (TOR, $4.3) put up a goal and two assists on the way to 18 points, leading the midfield ahead of Christian Roldan (SEA, $7.1), who did the same on the way to 15 points. Roldan’s teammate, Joao Paolo ($10.3), who scored 14 points on a goal and an assist. For United, Junior Moreno ($6.3) and Russell Canouse ($5.7) scored 6 points, Paul Arriola ($7.8) scored 5, the pair of Edison Flores ($6.7) and Felipe Martins ($4.1) scored 4, Kevin Paredes ($5.1) scored 2, and Moses Nyeman ($4.0) scored 1.

Forwards

Vancouver’s Ben White ($6.9) improbably scored a hat trick on the way to 19 points, leading the forwards and all scorers. Behind him Johnnie Russell (SKC, $10.0) scored twice for 15 points, and his teammate, Daniel Salloi ($9.0) paired a goal and an assist for 14 points. The DCU scoring forwards were Ola Kamara ($10.1) with 9 points, Yordy Reyna ($5.7) with 4, and Nigel Robertha ($5.8) with 2.

Looking Ahead

With just four matches this weekend, next weekend is also being folded into this round. This means that Minnesota, Colorado, Seattle, the Red Bulls, Vancouver, Miami, and Cincinnati play twice, and somehow Dallas doesn’t play at all. Everyone else plays once. In goal, I like Andre Blake’s matchups even though he’s on the road both @ Cincinnati and Montreal, and in defense I like Yeimar Gomez (SEA, $8.2) vs. Vancouver and @ Houston. In midfield, I’m backing Carles Gil (NE, $11.7) to get right vs. Chicago, and Daryl Dike (ORL, $8.4) is a good forward option @ Cincinnati.
