Happy Wednesday everyone. First, special thanks go to my man Adam for covering the Wednesday Freedom Kicks while I was on leave. Second, I truly appreciate everyone who offered condolences, well wishes, or otherwise checked in on me during my bereavement. Can’t tell you what it means for the soccer community, those who know me in real life and even many who don’t, to help lift me up during what has been the most difficult period of my life. It meant a lot to me to have the love and support of so many of you. Thank you for being there when I needed it the most.

Now, we move onto the news with the big story from yesterday. Rose Lavelle officially joined Samantha Mewis at Manchester City yesterday:

She said her goodbyes to the Washington Spirit as well as OL Reign.

I’ll never let you go, Rose.

Manchester United, Manchester City given extended summer break - ESPNFC

Manchester United just finished their run in the Europa League and Manchester City just lost in Champions League, so the Premier League will likely give them a break and not schedule them for the opening weekend of the league in mid-September.

The other Champions League semifinal is today (Bayern Munich vs. Olympique Lyonnais), and Loudoun United plays tonight against Louisville City in the home opener at Segra Field. Enjoy the day and stay safe out there.
