Good morning! All of the coffee in the world is not getting me going right now, so I’m just going to plow through.

A Barra member (Becky)Paulys ex-fiancé was in a tragic small plane crash, she lost her 9 month old and her husband. (She’s still in critical as is her son) There is a fund for her that you can help. Any little will matter and support her. Thanks@dcunited https://t.co/8zfsOMdyI2— Barra Brava (@Barra_Brava) July 29, 2020
Horrible news about a D.C. United fan; if you’re in a position where you are able to help, I would encourage you to do so.
Paul Arriola talks to our own Jason Anderson about his contract extension and staying in D.C. for at least the medium, if not long, term.
The only person I’ve met from Prince Edward Island said it was the best place in the world to live and he would never consider moving anywhere else. That sounds like a great place to hold a bubble tournament.
It was a heccing rocky start, but after the teams got into the bubble, MLS and the location did a pretty good job of making it work.
But, their plan for in-market games later this year? Doesn’t seem wise! Just look at what’s happening with baseball and...
USL has had a number of games rescheduled and pushed back due to positive Covid tests for members of the teams. No league has yet found a non-bubble solution that works, and I just don’t know if there really is one.
Thrilled to announce a project I've been working on for the past 2 months: A 6-episode podcast series for @bluewirepods on the story of Freddy Adu, our fascination with sports prodigies and what it says about us. This looks fascinating, and it includes a 90 minute interview with Freddy Adu himself on the arc of his career. I will be taking a listen.
That’s all I’ve got this morning. What’s up?
