Well, that wasn’t great, y’all. It was a late night for all of us, so I’ll get into the links now:
D.C. United couldn’t muster a goal with their hands on destiny’s steering wheel, and they leave the MLS is Back tournament after a 1-0 loss to the Montreal Impact. We don’t know when their next match will be at this point.
The best part of the match occurred virtually. The Filibuster crew held a wonderful pregame Zoom on the official virtual watch party, and then our Adam became a meme!

Angel City FC is the name of the new NWSL franchise, set to begin in 2022 in LA. They will play at the home of the LA Galaxy, but they will not be linked with either LA MLS franchise. Still, this could be huge for the NWSL.
It looks like the United States Men’s National Team could be playing friendlies in October, with an eye on World Cup qualifying beginning either in November or early next year. That could all change depending on how this coronavirus pandemic endures.
