Happy 3rd sun cycle of the work week...or at least, what I think is a work week. Here’s what you may have seen or missed yesterday:
MLS admits that their timeline of restarting the season in mid-may is “extremely unlikely,” and they now are open about the fact that the season schedule could be shortened as this coronavirus hiatus continues. Our friend Adam has a nice solution!
First reported in The Athletic, U.S. Soccer appears to be ending its Development Academy for both the men and the women. What comes of this is anyone’s guess.
Josh Sargent says the young core of the United States Men’s National Team is really tight and it’s a “dream situation” that so many of them are involved with the senior national team. Let’s hope that their close relationships with each other can help take the USMNT back to the top of the region and challenge down the line for World Cup glory.
Excited that I have been accepted into the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University! My number 1 school of choice. #SecondDegreeLoading !— Cheyna Matthews (@Cheynalee_) April 14, 2020
Olympique Lyonnais players Sarah Bouhaddi and Dzenifer Marozsan could be headed to the Utah Royals. That would be an interesting move, especially when Lyon is the owner of OL Reign FC.
This list is loaded with D.C. United stars and legends. Check it out to see who made it and who surprisingly is left off the list.
Enjoy the day!
