Hi there, so apparently it’s a holiday? OK!
D.C. United preseason win over Orlando City overshadowed by Paul Arriola injury (us): Maybe it’s better D.C. doesn’t stream these, I dunno. Goff with more. Between all of this and Paul’s mom sounding upbeat, maybe a bullet dodged? Who knows?
D.C. United training notebook: Could United opt for a 433 this season? (us): Possible I guess, also nice quotes in here. Also done before the Arriola injury, so perhaps obsolete.
2020 D.C. United preview (ASA): Largely this is known but just in case, etc etc.
El legionario en que se apoya Saprissa para analizar al Montreal Impact (Colombia.co): Shout out to former Saprissa (and current D.C.) player Ulises Segura for chatting to his previous employers in Costa Rica about playing against the Montreal Impact.
FC Cincinnati’s Darren Mattocks facing two felony charges in Pennsylvania (Cincinnati Enquirer): In between this and their dumb racist coach, what the hell is going on in Cincy?
How the love of D.C. sports brought these fans a love of their own (NBCSW): Hey, D.C. United is in here!
Heather O’Reilly calls out USSF member for disrespecting the USWNT (SSFC): Apparently the USSF meeting happened this weekend and silly things happened.
One last quickie, and it’s this cryptic tweet:

Nicco is part of the team that represents Julian Gressel who as we know has been engaged in talks on a new deal with D.C., so (thinking face emoji).
Finally I liked Peanut Butter Falcon, with Shia LaBeouf, pro wrestling and an escapee from a medical facility. Honey Boy is LaBeouf’s other film of 2019, a screenplay he wrote while in rehab, and played the father in this and man, it’s fascinating to watch that’s for sure. Here’s the trailer:
