Happy Wednesday folks. It’s Thanksgiving Eve, which means all of you are preparing for Thanksgiving in some way. Whether you’re braving the travel or staying at home, I hope all of you have a safe, healthy, and wonderful Thanksgiving. We here at Black & Red United are thankful for our incredible community, and that includes each of you! Now, to recap a big Tuesday:
Revs advance! Top-seeded Philly knocked out in Round 1 - MLS
The Supporters’ Shield winners Philadelphia Union are out of the MLS Cup Playoffs after losing at home to the New England Revolution 2-0 last night.
Upset! Nashville stuns Toronto in ET to advance to Eastern semis - MLS
Not to be outdone, Toronto FC, the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference, have also crashed out of the playoffs, with expansion team Nashville SC beating them 1-0 in extra time.
Sergino Dest nets his first Barcelona goal - SSFC
A United States Men’s National Team player has scored for Barcelona! Sergiño Dest scored in Barca’s 4-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in Champions League play. Dest is the first American to ever score for Barca. Also, Konrad de la Fuente appeared as a late substitute, becoming only the 2nd American to ever play for Barca. Big things.
Sounders roll on! Lodeiro, Morris and Ruidiaz sweep LAFC aside - MLS
The Seattle Sounders march onto the conference semifinals after dispatching Los Angeles Football Club 3-1.
Potential Utah Royals buyers looking to bring team back to Kansas City - The Athletic
The Utah Royals FC could be bought by a couple looking to relocate the team back to Kansas City. FC Kansas City was dissolved a few years ago and the players on the team reassigned to the Utah Royals. The NWSL will hopefully figure out a way to keep the Royals in Utah and create an expansion franchise to revive FCKC. It would be bad for a city to lose a team because their owner was racist and sexist.
On the D.C. United front, more youngster that they’re looking at on the back line:
Wolfsburg II's Michael Edwards, a former D.C. United academy center back, is drawing interest stateside, I'm told. DCU holds his MLS rights. Could land in DC or elsewhere via trade. Turns 20 Friday. Contract up in June. Five starts in German 4th tier this fall.

OL Groupe president hints Wendie Renard could join OL Reign - Sounder at Heart
This would be huge. If OL Reign could get Wendie Renard, that would really be another big boost to the league.
Ibrahimovic slams EA Sports for using his name, picture in FIFA 21 - ESPNFC
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in FIFA 21...except he doesn’t want to be. Guess he didn’t get paid for it, but now he’s mad.
Enjoy the day, everyone. Stay safe on these streets!
