Occoquan SC was the league leader this round, cruising along with 11 playing starters, 122 points, and a nine-point advantage on second place.
We have a new leader at the top of the league, as BL4CKnRED overtook Bayern Neverlusen and now has a 15-point lead.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Joe Willis (NSH, $7.4) posted a clean sheet and 9 points, leading the position. Hot on his heels were Matt Turner (NE, $10.1) and David Bingham (LAG, $9.2), both of whom had clean sheets of their own and 8 points.
Defenders
Atlanta’s Brooks Lennon ($8.2) put up a clean sheet, a goal, and two assists on the way to 24 points, leading all defenders and all players. Off in the distance behind him was the New England pair of Henry Kessler ($8.0) and Brandon Bye ($8.7), each of whom had a clean sheet. Just two DCU defenders scored, with Steven Birnbaum ($4.8) tallying 2 points, and Donovan Pines ($6.8) scoring 1.
Midfielders
Lewis Morgan (MIA, $12.5) scored twice on the way to 16 points, leading the midfield. Meanwhile, the NYCFC pair of Alexander Ring ($9.5), with three assists, and Alexandru Mitrita ($7.0), with two goals, scored 14 and 13 points respectively. The United midfield was led by Junior Moreno ($7.8) with 4 points, the pair of Yamil Asad ($5.6) and Yordy Reyna ($4.0) with 2 each, and both Kevin Paredes ($4.9) and Julian Gressel ($6.3) with 1 each.
Forwards
Jon Gallagher (ATL, $6.3) led the position by scoring two goals and 15 points, while Alan Pulido (SKC, $10.4) scored two of his own on the way to 13 points. Jordan Morris (SEA, $13.7) rounded out the top three with 11 points on the strength of an assist. The ‘scoring’ D.C. forwards were Ola Kamara ($4.3) with 2 points, and both Griffin Yow ($4.0) and Erik Sorga ($4.0) with 1.
Looking Ahead
Games abound this round, as it seems everyone plays twice. The system actually had Columbus and LAFC as playing three times briefly before that was fixed, but it’s believable. In goal I like Andre Blake (PHI, $8.5) at home against Cincinnati and Montreal, and in defense I like Anton Tinnerholm (NYC, $11.0) at home against DCU and New England. Spend the money on Nicolas Lodeiro (SEA, $15.7) in your midfield at home against RSL and @ LAFC, and pick Robert Beric (CHI, $11.4) at forward at Kansas City and at home against DCU.
