Cristiano Ronaldo is out of the Portugal squad after testing positive for the coronavirus. FIFA has a real problem on their hands, because with the number of players that have caught the virus on international duty, clubs will not want to release them next month.

The outpouring of appreciation that I’ve received from the soccer community, players, former players, supporters of the club, friends, and family has been overwhelming and I thank every one of you who played a part in my journey at this club. I’m looking forward to the unknown in this next chapter of my life but will cherish the twenty plus years of service to the organization. It has been my pleasure every step of the way.
