Hey all, and happy Thursday. After 23 hours of flying, I returned home to DC at 1:00am yesterday morning only to find out I had a ticket to the USWNT parade in New York. 3 hours later, I was on a train to NYC, where I was able to witness the World Cup champions welcomed home. Thus, I needed sleep and this comes super early on Thursday morning. Thanks to Ben for covering me yesterday.

The United States Women’s National Team kept the party going yesterday with a ticker tape parade and ceremony in New York City, then flying to LA to win the ESPY for Best Team. Because duh, they are the best team, and I love them all.

CONCACAF basically just created a Hex for the top 6 teams in the region and everyone else has to fight for the opportunity to play for the inter-confederation playoff. Good news for the USMNT, Mexico, and Costa Rica, but bad news for those teams that are ranked 7th or lower in the region.
