The Gold Cup break is over, and MLS is back. The Spring season, which I forgot was a thing, is over, and we have two winners to announce. Olsen’s Army won the traditional league, edging HICKENHÖPPER FC by just two points. HICKENHÖPPER FC should not be completely sad, having won the head-to-head league as consolation.
This is a reminder that our rosters have been vacated, budgets reset, and salaries adjusted. You must fill your rosters from scratch again.
Looking Ahead
Though MLS is back, we’re looking at a limited schedule this round. Just twelve teams are playing: Cincinnati, the Galaxy, Dallas, Toronto, Chicago, RSL, Vancouver, Colorado, Portland, Houston, Columbus, and Kansas City. In goal, I like Jesse Gonzalez (DAL, $5.5) at home against Toronto, and Daniel Steres (LAG, $5.0) in defense away to Cincinnati. Alejandro Pozuelo (TOR, $11.5) is a great midfield option at FC Dallas, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (LAG, $11.0) is a no-brainer at forward.
