Happy Wednesday morning folks. It was a good night for the United States Men’s National Team, and possibly some things moving for a beloved D.C. United player. Let’s get into it:
USA 1-1 Chile: The US shows it’s a work in progress as Chile dominates | Stars & Stripes FC
Christian Pulisic scored the first goal in the 4th minute, but the USMNT allowed the equalizer a few minutes later and held on for a 1-1 draw against Chile.
Report: Luciano Acosta in talks with Fenerbahce | Black & Red United
Could Luciano Acosta be headed to Fenerbache. This seems like a leverage move to me, the offer before the offer. We’ll see what happens.
Report: US national team to host Jamaica in June match at DC’s Audi Field | MLS
D.C. United blackout radius for FloSports games | Black & Red United
Our own Ben Bromley does the Lord’s work and gets the exact geofence out for D.C. United matches on FloSports.
Montenegro face racist behaviour charge in Euro 2020 qualifier against England | BBC
Pardon my French, ladies and gentlemen...Racism. Has. No. Fucking. Place. On. This. Planet.
And, to cap it off, Andrew Dykstra announced his retirement. He will be taking a role with his hometown Prince William Soccer in Woodbridge. Andrew, congrats on a wonderful career, and welcome back home!

I love a good "Irish exit" but that wouldn't give me the chance to thank all those who helped me achieve one of my life's goals, to play professional soccer at it's highest level (in America) which I was able to do for over a decade. I have accepted positions for Director of Goalkeeping and Director of Sports Performance at Prince William Soccer Inc, my childhood club in Woodbridge, VA. I will be in charge of goalkeeper development and responsible for the academy team's strength and conditioning program. I don't care what anyone says, we don't achieve anything in life by ourselves. Nothing is accomplished without the help of good timing, a little luck and solid relationships. Thank you to those who shaped me as an athlete, player and person. "I have decided to step down from my post and spend more time with my family. I do not fear the unknown. I will meet my new challenges head on and I will succeed. And I will laugh in the faces of those who doubt me. It's been a pleasure working with some of you and I will not forget those of you soon. But remember, while today it is me... we all shall fall." -Dwight Shrute (wouldn't be me without a good quote)
That’ll do it for today. Hit the comments to keep discussing the news as it comes in.
