The Return of the Living Hamid: DC vs. Orlando P&P

Bill Hamid will likely make his 2018 season debut for DC United against OCSC, and I'm here to preview it for you.

Orlando City SC

What they're good at: Serving a great ball in and most of the time finishing it. However, they're bad at finding opportunities to do so, and therefore goals are rare for them. A notable factor that may apply to this game is that the top two leaders in assists on the team, Yoshimar Yotun and Sacha Kljestan, are both missing the game due to suspension and injury, respectively.

What they're bad at: Defending, and you know it!

They've conceded an astounding 54 goals in 23 games, they're defense doesn't just lack star-power, it lacks power whatsoever, and for some reason their second string goalie, Earl Edwards, is starting over the great Joe Bendik.

That, and they have a new coach who's just feeling them out. I'd be worried if I were a Lions fan.

DC United

Seriously? Most likely if you're reading this you're a diehard and know a lot about the team. I'm not gonna waste my time on this.

DC United Projected Lineup

------------------------------------Rooney(9)------------------------------------

Asad(22)-------------Acosta(10)-------Arriola(7)--------------Stieber(18)

------------------------------------Canouse(4)------------------------------------

Vytas(27)-----------------Opare(6)--------Birnbaum(15)--------Fisher(91)

-------------------------------------Hamid(24)------------------------------------

I'd expect Segura, Mattocks, and one of Moreno/Harkes/Durkin to come on as subs.

I agree with Sunspot's comment on "Crossbar, post star as DC United, Montreal Impact draw 1-1," by Steven Streff where Sunspot said that Olsen had a road game mentality for the Impact game, and therefore started Russell Canouse in Arriola's position.

DC United vs. Orlando City SC Prediction

Hamid's back, we signed a new defender, Wazza's our captain, and we're playing a team whose stars are sidelined for the match.

What could go wrong?

I'm going 3-1 us at Audi Field. Arriola strikes first, Dwyer retaliates, Lucho assists Rooney, and Asad puts the game away with a PK.

Well, there you have it!
