D.C. United roster stability, a player rumor? And more: Freedom Kicks for 11/19/18

And funky Mondo artwork!

Hi. Pretty light day today, such as it is. May be a conversation piece or two in here.

D.C. United’s 2019 roster should look a lot like it did in 2018 (B&RU): I put together some kinda loose but notes of observation when next Monday’s option decision deadline comes and goes.

Report: Club Tijuana to name Óscar Pareja next head coach (FMF State of Mind): Look, if Jay Berhalter can let Tata Martino (presumably) go from Atlanta United to the Mexico National Team position and Pareja go from FC Dallas to this, then his brother better get the United States into the knockout stage.

Hey, remember when 35-year old right back Angel Rangel was linked to D.C. United from Swansea City in May? Well, in the 6 months since, Rangel moved to Queens Park Rangers, and his deal ends in January. And guess what?

D.C. United Project Cited as ‘Deal of the Year’ (Loudoun Now): This is referring to the USL team and training site and structure of the deal.

Oh, and here’s Darren Mattocks scoring for Jamaica in CONCACAF Nations League action against Suriname (:15):

Artist Laurent Durieux Breaks Down Every Poster in His New Mondo Show (Slashfilm): I’m a fan of the Mondo art (you see it at Alamo Drafthouse locations), and a recent Austin show highlighted the work of one of the better artists out there. This is a niche link so clicker beware.

Anyway, have fun, it’s a holiday week.
