Fantasy Focus: Hey hey hey!

It’s Albert Rusnak!

!BL4CKnRED scored 83 points to lead this round. Romain Alessandrini (LA, $9.5) donned the armband and scored a goal on the way to 20 points to lead the team. Meanwhile, Seth Sinovic (SKC, $5.3) tallied a goal and an assist for 13 points, while Sebastian Giovinco (TOR, $12.0) scored a goal and 9 points. ShowtimeJR retook the overall lead.

Positional Leaders

Joe Bendik (ORL, $5.1) earned a clean sheet and 10 points, leading the position. Just behind him, the trio of Jorge Bava (CHI, $5.2), Clement Diop (LA, $4.0), and Nick Rimando (RSL, $5.9) each earned a clean sheet and 9 points. D.C.’s Bill Hamid ($5.5) scored 5 points.

Seth Sinovic’s 13 points were good enough to lead the defenders. Trailing were Dallas teammates Walker Zimmerman ($6.7) and Matt Hedges ($6.8), who posted a clean sheet apiece to score 12 and 11 points respectively, with Zimmerman adding an assist. For DCU, Bobby Boswell ($5.5) led with 4 points, followed by Steve Birnbaum ($5.8) with 3, and the pair of Sean Franklin ($5.4) and Taylor Kemp ($5.7) with 2 points each.

Real Salt Lake’s Albert Rusnak ($9.2) combined two assists with a goal for 16 points, leading all midfielders and all players. Dallas pair Michael Barrios ($8.1) and Javier Morales ($9.2) rounded out the top three with 12 and 11 points respectively — Barrios with a goal and an assists, and Morales with just a goal. United’s midfield was led by Luciano Acosta ($8.7) with 9 points, followed by Lloyd Sam ($8.4) with 7, both Nick DeLeon ($6.0) and Jared Jeffrey ($5.4) with 4, Ian Harkes ($5.9) with 3, Patrick Nyarko ($7.9) with 2, and both Lamar Neagle ($7.5) and Sebastien Le Toux ($6.5) with 1.

Hector Villalba’s (ATL, $9.7) two goals and 11 points took the positional lead, edging Dom Dwyer (SKC, $8.8), who scored 10 on a goal and an assist. There was a three-way tie for third on 9 points, with Nemanja Nikolic (CHI, $9.4) and David Villa (NYC, $10.4) each scoring a goal to match Sebastian Giovinco. D.C.’s lone forward was Jose Ortiz ($6.8), who scored 2 points.

Looking Ahead

I like Stefan Frei (SEA, $6.1) in goal on the road against Vancouver, and Chris Wingert (RSL, $4.4) in defense at Colorado. In midfield, go with Miguel Almiron (ATL, $9.3) at Montreal, and even though Erick Torres (HOU, $8.6) didn’t score last week, he’s at home this round against Minnesota’s leaky defense.
