With just 6 teams playing, Arlington Avengers found the best combination of players, leading the round with 97 points. Lee Nguyen (NE, $9.8) led the team with an armband-aided 24 points on a goal and an assist. Behind him were his teammates, Juan Agudelo ($8.6) and Diego Fagundez ($7.2), who scored 14 points each on two goals (Agudelo) and two assists (Fagundez). DCIgnited leads the league overall by one point.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Luis Robles (NYR, $6.2) and Matt Van Oekel (RSL, $4.6) opposed each other and posted matching clean sheets, with Robles edging Van Oekel 9 to 8 for the goalkeeping lead. Zack Steffen (CLB, $4.7) scored 3 points for third.
Defenders
The pair of Chris Tierney (NE, $5.6) and Aaron Long (NYR, $5.3) tied for the lead with 12 points, with Tierney tallying a goal and an assist, and Long earning a clean sheet. The pair just edged out Demar Phillips (RSL, $5.1), who earned a clean sheet on the way to 11 points.
Midfielders
Diego Fagundez’s 14 points led the midfielders and tied for the overall lead, while Lee Nguyen’s 12 were good for second. The pair of Federico Higuain (CLB, $9.7) and Cullen Warner (MIN, $6.6) tied for third on 8 points, with Higuain assisting on one goal, and Warner scoring one.
Forwards
Juan Agudelo’s 14 points led all forwards and tied for the overall lead. Ola Kamara (CLB, $10.4) and Fanendo Adi (POR, $9.7) each scored a goal on the way to 8 points and a tie for second.
Looking Ahead
Everyone is in action this week, except for Colorado and Dallas, because of reasons. Until DCU scores a goal, I’m advocating for playing the opposing goalkeeper, so go with Andre Blake (PHI, $5.5). In defense, I like Alvas Powell (POR, $5.0) at home against New England, and get Ignacio Piatti (MTL, $10.2) in your midfield at Chicago. At forward, it’s hard to argue against Adi’s four goals in four games, but keep an eye on Erick Torres (HOU, $8.5), who has scored a goal and 7 points in each of his three games.
