In the midnight news dump, the United States releases the 2017 3rd jersey. I like them. I’m gonna happily grab one...but why release this at midnight? BTW, we will see the USWNT debut this jersey during the SheBelieves Cup, while the men will unveil the jersey in their March 24th World Cup qualifier against Honduras in San Jose.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup knockout stage venues have been announced. The quarterfinals will be in Philadelphia and Phoenix, with the semifinal matches in Pasadena and Arlington, Texas. The final, previously announced, will be at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on July 26th.

Hell yeah, excellent news: Deuce is back. Clint Dempsey is cleared to resume play again after his heart problem that was discovered last fall. The Seattle Sounders will surely welcome this news and hope that he will be back playing at a high level soon. Fans of the USMNT will also hope that he’s back with the national team soon as well.

CTE is not a football problem. It’s a sports problem. The latest sport to find that CTE is affecting its former players is soccer. Hopefully, this is something that FIFA and the various governing bodies will address quickly and seriously.
