Fantasy Focus: Very nice, Lamps

Be champions.

Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

We all suddenly trust our captors, as Stockholm Syndrome led the round with 99 points. Captain Sebastian Giovinco (TOR, $13.4) scored 32 points on a goal and two assists. Frank Lampard (NYC, $10.6) scored a hat trick and 17 points, and Justin Morrow (TOR, $8.0) posted a clean sheet and 9 points. We had another change at the top of the league, as !BL4CKnRED-2014Champ retook the top spot.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers

Alex Bono (TOR, $4.6) told the Crew to go away, earning a clean sheet and 8 points, leading the goalkeepers. Chris Seitz (DAL, $4.9) posted his own clean sheet and 7 points, while Alec Kann (SKC, $4.6) did the same for 6 points. Bill Hamid ($6.2) returned to the United lineup to score 3 points.

Defenders

Atiba Harris (DAL, $5.7) paired a clean sheet with an assist for 11 points to lead the defenders. Behind him, three players tied with 9 points -- Maynor Figueroa (DAL, $6.7), Ike Opara (SKC, $7.1), and the aforementioned Justin Morrow. Each had a clean sheet. Taylor Kemp ($7.9) led DCU's defense with 7 points, followed by Bobby Boswell ($8.2) with 4, and both Steve Birnbaum ($7.6) and Sean Franklin ($8.2) with 3.

Midfielders

Frank Lampard's 17 points led the midfielders and all players. Kevin Molino (ORL, $8.8) was just a step behind with 16 points on two goals and an assist, and Kellyn Acosta (DAL, $7.2) scored a goal for 11 points. Patrick Nyarko ($7.3) and Marcelo Sarvas ($7.1) led the D.C. midfield with 5 points, followed by Nick DeLeon ($6.3) with 3 points, and the pair of Jared Jeffrey ($5.3) and Rob Vincent ($6.0) with 1 point.

Forwards

Sebastian Giovinco's 16 points easily led the forwards. The pair of Shkelzen Gashi (COL, $9.4) and Kei Kamara (NE, $11.3) scored 9 points, with each scoring a goal. Patrick Mullins ($6.4) led the DCU forwards with 6 points,  ahead of Luciano Acosta ($8.5) with 4 points, and Kennedy Igboananike ($7.9) and Alvaro Saborio ($7.7) with 1 point.

Looking Ahead

Real Salt Lake and Toronto play twice, Columbus and Dallas are on bye, and everyone else plays once. I like Evan Bush (MTL, $5.2) in goal at home against Houston, and Justen Glad (RSL, $4.9) is a cheap two-game option in defense @ Toronto and home vs. Chicago. Kevin Molino is your guy in midfield at home against Seattle, and if there's any way to get both Giovinco and also Joao Plata (RSL, $9.6) in as two-game forwards, you should do it.
