MLS Power Rankings, Week 21: United falling

Our favorite franchise has fallen to new levels in this week's Power Rankings.

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Major League Soccer's teams had a mixed bag of performances in Week 21. There were several teams who put 3, 4 or 5 goals on the scoreboard and had some great games. Individuals like Sebastian Giovinco had incredible individual performances. The bottom teams, however, had terrible outings last week as they fall way back of the leaders in the race for the playoffs.

As we approach the end of July, there are is a clear pack of teams leading the field: Colorado, Dallas, and the Galaxy are playing better than just about anyone right now. On the other end, Chicago, Seattle and our beloved Black-and-Red are not having great months and it's reflecting in the standings. If they want to make the playoffs, August is a most crucial month for their chances. Let's see what these teams can do.

The top 3 teams in the Power Rankings are unchanged from last week, while United fall to 19th. Only a slumping Seattle is lower, as they occupy the basement of the Power Rankings. Still, we want to hear from you. Are the rankings right? Who do you think is ranked too high or low? What can these teams do to stay in the playoff race?
