Fantasy Focus: King of the Ant Hill

That stung.

Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

A score of 109 points led the league this round, with Seoul Train putting up the points. Sebastian Giovinco (TOR, $13.2) scored an armband-aided 42 points with a hat trick. Meanwhile, Ignacio Piatti (MTL, $11.3) scored a goal and added two assists for 17 points, and Ola Kamara (CLB, $8.9) put in a goal and 13 points. Salisbury United retook the overall league lead.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers

The pair of Joe Willis (HOU, $4.8) and David Ousted (VAN, $6.3) opposed each other and put up matching clean sheets for 8 points and a split of the positional lead. Bobby Shuttleworth (NE, $5.5) posted his own clean sheet for 7 points. DCU's Travis Worra ($4.0) scored 3 points.

Defenders

A trio of players scored 13 points to lead the defenders -- with Ambroise Oyongo (MTL, $6.7) putting up two assists, Chris Tierney (NE, $8.2) pairing an assist with a clean sheet, and Je-Vaughn Watson (NE, $7.2) paiting his clean sheet with a goal. For United, Sean Franklin ($8.2) scored 5 points, Steve Birnbaum ($7.6) scored 2, and Taylor Kemp ($7.8) scored 1.

Midfielders

Ignacio Piatti's 17 points led the positions. Sacha Kljestan (NYR, $12.4) was just behind him with a goal, two assists, and 16 points, while Kevin Molino (ORL, $8.6) paired a goal with an assist for 12 points. The D.C. midfield was led by Lloyd Sam ($9.3) with 8 points, followed by Jared Jeffrey ($5.4) with 6, Nick DeLeon ($6.3) with 4, and both Lamar Neagle ($8.0) and Patrick Nyarko ($7.3) with 1.

Forwards

Sebastian Giovinco's 21 points led the forwards and all players. His hat trick was matched by Didier Drogba (MTL, $12.3), who scored 19 points, and Dom Dwyer (SKC, $10.2) scored two goals of his own for 14 points. Luciano Acosta ($8.5) led with DCU's forwards with 3 points, followed by both Alvaro Saborio ($7.7) and Patrick Mullins ($6.4) with 1 point.

Looking Ahead

Every team plays once this round, with games starting on Saturday. Brian Rowe (LA, $5.1) is your man in goal at home against Seattle, while Aurelien Collin (NYR, $7.8) is a good defender bet for a clean sheet at Chicago. I'm backing Diego Valeri (POR, $11.2) to get back on track in the midfield at Kansas City, and do whatever you can to get Sebastian Giovinco back into your team at home against Columbus.
