D.C. United officially trades for Patrick Mullins, Fabian Espindola to Vancouver

See what Dave Kasper has to say about D.C. United’s trades

What was previously rumored is now official, with D.C. United trading for Patrick Mullins from New York City FC, sending general allocation money, targeted allocation money, and an international roster spot through the end of the 2017 season. United General Manager Dave Kasper had this to say about the former Maryland star:

"Patrick is a young, dynamic number nine who knows how to create and finish chances. We have had him on our radar since his time at Maryland and look forward to his continued development here. We are delighted he is joining us and believe in the value he can add to this club."

In a separate transaction, United trading designated player and co-leading scorer Fabian Espindola to the Vancouver Whitecaps for general allocation money.

"Fabi has been a valuable part of our team over the last few seasons. We thank him for his service and wish him the best."

Personally, I think that with how Olsen and Kasper have coveted Mullins for years, that he is starting for this team within three weeks. Now that it is official and we know the official terms, what do you think about the deal?
