I'm reading Das Reboot by Raphael Honigstein right now (really good, by the way), and it's made me think a lot about Jurgen Klinsmann and also the transformation of the German national team from Consistent Disappointment to World Cup winners. I would like to hope that we are simply in our disappointment years and that the USMNT will win the World Cup in 2026. (Not that the progress of the German team was at all solely Klinsmann's doing, of course, and I would prefer he walked away sooner than later.)
