This is my first foray in to the Freedom Kicks here at Black and Red United. I have the impossible task of replacing this man, who normally brings you the Freedom Kicks every Wednesday. But thanks to Jurgen Klinsmann, there is plenty of good stuff to talk about today, after the US thoroughly trounced Costa Rica to put themselves into a prime position to make it out of the group.

The 4-0 victory over los Ticos was the biggest ever win for the USA men's side over their CONCACAF foes. Clint Dempsey scored from the spot, Jermaine Jones scored another great goal, Bobby Wood added the third before halftime, and Graham Zusi rounded out the scoring late in the second half.

The links.

USA vs. Costa Rica, Copa America 2016: Community Player Ratings | Stars and Stripes FC Over at sister site, Stars and Stripes FC, they want your input about for player ratings from last night's win. Who would you pick for Man of the Match? There's a couple of good choice, but shout-out to John Brooks, who had one of his best games for the red, white, and blue.

Fernando Fiore is here to save American soccer coverage from itself | SB Natiion Here's an interesting look in the presence of Fernando Fiore on Fox's coverage for the Copa America. I haven't listened to much of their pregame or postgame coverage, but Fiore is quite the character.

Soccer is better when James Rodriguez is at his best | SB Nation One of my personal favorites, Kevin McCauley, says best what we are all thinking. J-Rod scored one and assisted the other in Colombia's 2-1 win over Paraguay last night, putting them through to the quarterfinals after just two games.

SB Nation's Euro 2016 Preview | SB Nation It is almost time for the Euros to start, and this preview gives you an excellent run down of all the teams in the tournament this year. The biggest question heading into the tournament is why in the world is my home country still deploying Mario Gomez in meaningful games in the year 2016?

That's all i got today. What is on everyone else's mind?
