Filibuster podcast episode 189: A feeble attempt to make rum palatable

We have a D.C. United win to talk about!

Another week, another Filibuster for your ears. Jason, Adam, and Ben talk about D.C. United’s 2-0 victory over the New England Revolution and how fun it was. We discuss the midfield trio and how Fabian Espindola can play with them. We heap praise on Jalen Robinson, and ask whether or not this formation change will continue past this game.

We break open the Twitterbox to answer couple of questions: the difference between good Alvaro Saborio and bad Alvaro Saborio, who Dave Kasper might target in an MLS trade, the continued transfer rumors surrounding Steve Birnbaum, and how many points are required from this road trip.

We then welcome on Matt Montgomery from RSL Soapbox to talk about Real Salt Lake. We talk about their difference between home and road form, their US Open Cup lineup, and Burrito Martinez. He tells us he’s fine with RSL spreading the goalscoring wealth, talks about Justin Glad and Yura Movsysian, and Kyle Beckerman. We end with asking Matt who will be on the field given the US Open Cup, and how to gameplan RSL. Give it a listen!
