Argentina got the work done in their Copa America opener against Chile, picking out a 2-1 win against the current title holders, but there is work yet to be done—and Panama aren't to be dismissed as easy opponents. Blas Perez grabbed himself a brace against Bolivia to earn his team three points to start their tournament, and he'll certainly be looking to continue in such fine form. Argentina will feel pretty confident in their own personnel, though: Lionel Messi seems set to return to action.
A win for Argentina would go a long way toward securing a spot in the knockout round, so there's more than a little incentive to get things wrapped up today. But Panama have quite enough incentive of their own, as they too have the opportunity to gain serious advantage before taking on Chile, who are facing a must-win against Bolivia.
Speaking of that must-win game—well, Chile quite need to win it. A defeat to Bolivia seems unlikely, but Chile don't have room to mess around here if they want to avoid stumbling out of this tournament. Chile play Bolivia in the earlier game today, meaning we'll have a better idea of how this group might shake out before tuning to Argentina vs. Panama. There are still some intriguing possibilities for Group D, so settle in.
