It's all over. The MLS regular season has come to a close, bringing with it the conclusion of the 2016 fantasy season. The final round leader was Feel the Birn, who scored 100 points with captain David Villa (NYC) scoring 26 points on a goal and an assist, followed by Sebastian Giovinco's (TOR) 16 points on a goal and an assist, and Benny Feilhaber's (SKC) 12 points on the same.
Before I get to the top of the traditional league, let me pause to recognize Salisbury United, who easily took the head-to-head league with a 30-0-4 record, and a 14 point advantage in the table.
In the traditional league, Salisbury United was second only to !BL4CKnRED-2014Champ, who won the league by 39 points after entering the final round with a 30 point advantage. !BL4CKnRED-2014Champ led the league in scoring in both March and April before taking a summer siesta, and then finishing 2nd in the league in September scoring, and closing out leading the league in October.
Congratulations to both !BL4CKnRED-2014Champ and Salisbury United, and thanks to everyone who played and read as the season wore on. We'll see you right here again next season.
