What up world...yep, this is coming a little bit late, but it’s 11:00am and the early morning got away from me. So, you’re probably into your work day, but take a break and let the soccer news consume you:
The internet has no chill, folks. Cristiano Ronaldo bought himself a new shiny toy in a new Lamborghini worth about 250,000 pounds. People wasted no time turning his instagram pic into several memes. The internet remains undefeated.
After reports that Portland Timbers stars Darlington Nagbe turned down a call up to the USMNT for the October friendlies in part because he wanted more time with his family and because of displeasure over his lack of playing time, it’s being rumored that he won’t be called up to the national team anymore by Jurgen Klinsmann. Yo Jurgen...personally, the United States need that creativity in the midfield in November, so grill whatever beef you have and eat it, please.
We all knew this was coming from The Special One after a slow start. He states he won’t hesitate to drop anyone from the starting XI, including new expensive signings Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Jill Ellis has called in a lot of new talent to the USWNT squad that will take on Switzerland tonight in Salt Lake City (9:00pm kickoff) and Sunday in Minneapolis. Will we see a lot of changes from the USWNT we have grown accustomed to over the past 6-7 years? Sounds like there will be quite a bit of turnover.
Well, that’s never a good thing...Fenerbache’s plane had to be diverted to Budapest after a bird struck the cockpit window. They were on their way after a second plane came to pick them up.
And there you have it. Again, sorry I’m late for this, but I’ll make it up to you next time. For now, hit those comments because they’re now open for business.
