With a score of 110 points, Rolfin' on the River led the league this round. Bradley Wright-Phillips (NYR, $12.3) scored an armband-aided 26 points with two goals to lead the team. Behind him were Ignacio Piatti (MTL, $11.9), who scored two goals of his own for 15 points, and the DCU pair of Lloyd Sam ($9.9) and Patrick Mullins ($6.8) who scored 11 points each -- Sam with two assists, and Mullins with a goal and an assist. As we head into the final round, !BL4CKnRED-2014Champ has a 30 point lead over Salisbury United for the league crown.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Brad Stuver (CLB, $4.6) kept a clean sheet in his MLS debut and tallied 11 points to lead all goalkeepers. David Bingham (SJ, $6.4) posted a clean sheet of his own for 10 points, while both Joe Bendik (ORL, $5.2) and Paolo Tornaghi (VAN, $4.6) did the same for 9 points. D.C.'s Bill Hamid ($6.3) scored 6 points.
Defenders
Jonathan Campbell (CHI, $5.1) and Vytas Andriuskevicius (POR, $7.1) each scored 10 points to lead the defenders. They each earned a clean sheet, while Andriuskevicius earned two penalties. Bobby Boswell ($8.2) led the DCU backline with 9 points, followed by Taylor Kemp ($8.1) with 5 points, and Steve Birnbaum ($8.0) with 2 points and one helmet.
Midfielders
Ignacio Piatti's 15 points led all midfielders and all scorers. David Accam (CHI, $9.4) was close behind with 13 points on a goal and an assist, while Lloyd Sam's 11 points were good for third. The remainder of the United midfield featured Rob Vincent ($5.7) with 8 points, Nick DeLeon ($6.3) and Jared Jeffrey ($5.3) with 5 points, Patrick Nyarko ($7.7) with 3 points, and Julian Büscher ($5.5) and Lamar Neagle ($8.4) with 1 point.
Forwards
Bradley Wright-Phillips's 13 points led the position. Patrick Mullins's 11 were matched by Jozy Altidore (TOR, $9.9), who paired a goal with an assist. The remaining D.C. forwards were Luciano Acosta ($8.8) with 7 points, and Kennedy Igboananike ($7.8) with 1.
Looking Ahead
It's the final round! Colorado may have had their Supporters Shield hopes seriously damaged in Portland, but I like Tim Howard (COL, $6.5) in goal at home against Houston. In defense, Justen Glad (RSL, $5.0) is at Seattle, but he has 6 or more points in each of his last four matches, and only two of those resulted in clean sheets. Throw the armband on Ignacio Piatti in midfield at New England, and yours truly is all in on Patrick Mullins at Orlando with a home playoff game on the line.
