2015 was a banner year for Black and Red United, and we hope that you enjoyed the journey with us. To look back on it, let us take a look at the 10 most popular posts on the blog this year.
- The most viewed post, of course, was the leak of D.C. United's new badge. As I've continued to see it in more and more uses, I continue to like it.
- Eddie Johnson's contract voided by Major League Soccer: Steve Goff finally got some clarity on Eddie Johnson's situation this summer, though we still don't know all the details and how extensively it affected United's signings this year.
- Major League Soccer has a sponsorship problem: My rant against Draft Kings, Fan Duel, and MLS's multi-level marketing partners proved popular with American soccer twitter. It is still true and still a problem.
- New D.C. United stadium drawings show supporter's section, bar: No one can resist new stadium renderings.
- Is this the first official hint at a DC United badge change? I still have no idea what this meant.
- Is this a draft of the new D.C. United badge?: The badge was a popular item this year, though this draft ended up being pretty far off from what the badge actually ended up being.
- Possible image of D.C. United 2016 Home Kit Leaked: Our most recent post on the list, featuring sublimated stripes and available in February. MLS should still unveil these in December so they can take advantage of Christmas though.
- The top USWNT post of the year was during the victory tour, from the USA vs. Brazil game, which was also Lauren Holiday's last game.
- Right behind it, however, was the USA vs. Germany game that determined who would be the first team to reach the final.
- Rounding out the top 10 was the other USA vs. Germany game, when the men played a friendly early in the year. Also known as the last time the USMNT actually played well.
