Our overall leader is our leader for the week. Poor Man's Porales went for 98 points, and extended the overall lead to 99 points. Leading the team was Federico Higuain (CLB, $10.5), who wore the armband and scored 24 points with one goal. Chicago's David Accam ($8.7) scored 18 points with two goals and an assist, and Cristian Maidana (PHI, $8.9) contributed two assists and 14 points.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
D.C. United's Andrew Dykstra ($5.1) deputized for Bill Hamid and scored 14 points with a penalty save to lead all goalkeepers. Both Adam Kwarasey (POR, $5.7) and David Ousted (VAN, $5.5) earned a clean sheet and scored 9 points.
Defenders
Maxim Tissot (MTL, $6.2) scored a goal and posted a clean sheet for 13 points, sharing the lead among defenders with Sheanon Williams (PHI, $7.6), who posted a clean sheet of his own, and added an assist. Kendall Waston (VAN, $9.0) earned a clean sheet and scored 11 points. DCU's backline was led by Steve Birnbaum ($7.6) with 10 points, followed by Sean Franklin ($8.2) with 7 points, and both Bobby Boswell ($9.3) and Kofi Opare ($5.1) with 4.
Midfielders
Philadelphia's Sebastien Le Toux ($9.2) led the position with 15 points on a goal and an assist. Three players were just behind him with 14 points -- Ignacio Paitti (MTL, $9.8), Andres Romero ($7.9), and Maidana. Romero and Piatti each tallied a goal and an assist. United were led by Nick DeLeon ($6.4) with 6 points; followed by Perry Kitchen ($7.5) with 4; Davy Arnaud ($6.5) with 3; Chris Rolfe ($9.0), Markus Halsti ($7.0), and Facundo Coria ($7.0) with 2; and Luis Silva ($8.4) and Miguel Aguilar ($4.9) with 1.
Forwards
David Accam's 18 points led all forwards and all players. D.C.'s Fabian Espindola ($10.4) and Houston's Will Bruin ($8.4) each scored 16 points -- Espindola with three assists, and Bruin with a goal and an assist. Jairo Arrieta ($6.5) scored 13 points for DCU, and Conor Doyle ($5.5) scored 10.
Looking Ahead
It's just as easy to say who's playing as it is to say who's on bye, so the teams playing one game this week (round 15) are: NYC, Montreal, Columbus, LA, New England, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, Orlando, and DCU. Everyone else is on bye. We have unlimited transfers this week, so the time to overhaul your team is probably now. Unfortunately, that also makes it a little difficult to make recommendations, but here we go. In goal, try Bobby Shuttleworth (NE, $5.4) at home against Chicago. In defense, look at Tyrone Mears (SEA, $6.9), and try on the returning Clint Dempsey ($11.8) if you've got the money in midfield, as Seattle hosts Dallas. At forward, it's hard to argue with Fabian Espindola at Orlando.
Also note that in round 17 we have 12 teams with two games, and just five of those (MTL, LA, NE, SEA, DC) are playing this round. If you're looking to maximize your points for the double games, it would be wise to make sure you include a few players from those five teams somewhere on your roster while you have unlimited transfers, so you don't use up transfers on them in two weeks time.
Everyone's Adding: G - Stefan Frei (SEA, $5.9, +1030), D - Tyrone Mears (+707), M - Scott Caldwell (NE, $7.5, +883), F - Jairo Arrieta (+614)
Everyone's Dropping: G - Bill Hamid (DCU, $6.4, -507), D - Pa-Modou Kah (VAN, $6.6, -502), M - Benny Feilhaber (SKC, $10.1, -907), F - Octavio Rivero (VAN, $9.1, -1028)
