D.C.’s last tailgate: RFK’s Lot 8 - WTOP: In more RFK love, the spectacle of the various tailgates is discussed, along with some minor business. Speaking of Lot 8, you really should have been at the meetup over the weekend, right Washington Kastles mascot?

Erick Thohir turned 45 over the weekend, and celebrated by penning an open letter to fans of partner club Inter Milan saying that the ship will be righted.

United Soccer Leagues (USL): Speaking of U-23's, D.C. United's also came from behind, in this instance down 2 at halftime for a 2-2 draw, with goals from Colin Bonner (on a PK) and Jamie Luchhini. Next up for the Black and Red youths is a game at Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

The prison where murderers play for Manchester United | David Goldblatt | Football | The Guardian: Another quality piece by Goldblatt.

Watch: Denis Villeneuve's Mad Brilliant 2008 Short Film 'Next Floor' | FirstShowing.net: Villenueve directed Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal in Prisoners a couple of years ago and is out with a new movie called Sicario, which comes out in September in America. Item last, I've plugged my ownership in and love of Real Oviedo, the Spanish club in Segunda B who opened public interest to buy shares in the club in 2012 in part to generate cash for the club, who were facing dissolution after more than 80 years (another share buy ended last week). Yesterday, they defeated Cadiz 1-0 to earn a 2-1 aggregate win in the Segunda B playoffs, earning promotion to the Segunda Division for the first time in 12 years. Oviedo had been in La Liga as recently as 2000, and this promotion has been a shared joy worldwide. More on their story here.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some cachopo to eat in copious amounts.
