It was not a high scoring round, with just 10 goals scored across 8 MLS games, and half of those goals came in Sunday's two matches. With 71 points, Stockholm Syndrome is the leader for the round. Robbie Keane (LA, $11.1) wore the armband and scored 14 points on the strength of a goal scored. Three other players scored 8 points -- Axel Sjoberg (COL, $4.7), Pedro Morales (VAN, $11.1), and Harry Shipp (CHI, $7.6) -- with Sjoberg earning a clean sheet, Morales notching an assist, and Shipp scoring a goal. Poor Man's Porales has an 18 point lead at the top of the league.
Positional Leaders
Goalkeepers
Both Evan Bush (MTL, $5.1) and Josh Saunders (NY, $5.7) earned clean sheets and 9 points to share the positional lead. Four other goalkeepers earned clean sheets and 8 points -- Chris Seitz (DAL, $5.1), Luis Robles (NYR, $5.5), Adam Kwarasey (POR, $5.5), and Luis Marin (SKC, $5.5). Bill Hamid ($6.1) scored 4 points for D.C.
Defenders
San Jose's Ty Harden ($6.2) scored 12 points with a goal and an assist to lead the defenders. Zac Loyd (DAL, $7.7) and Ike Opara (SKC, $7.2) scored 9 points each, aided by clean sheets. For United, Sean Franklin ($8.0) led with 3 points, while both Steve Birnbaum ($7.5) and Chris Korb ($5.5) scored 2, and both Bobby Boswell ($9.0) and Taylor Kemp ($7.5) scored 1.
Midfielders
Nathan Sturgis (HOU, $5.6) scored a goal and 9 points to lead the midfielders. Five players tied with 8 points -- Harry Shipp, Fabian Castillo (DAL, $9.8), Dax McCarty (NYR, $8.1), Pedro Morales, and Lloyd Sam (NYR, $8.7). Castillo and McCarty had an assist each, and Sam scored a goal. For DCU, Davy Arnaud ($6.6) led with 6 points, while Nick DeLeon ($6.5), Perry Kitchen ($7.5), and Chris Rolfe ($8.6) scored 2 points.
Forwards
Bradley Wright-Phillips (NYR, $10.7) scored a goal and added an assist for 13 points and the lead among the forwards. Tesho Akindele (DAL, $8.1) PUT IT IN YOUR GOAL and scored 8 points, and Robbie Keane's 7 points were good for third. Jairo Arrieta ($6.6) scored 2 points to lead the D.C. forwards, and Conor Doyle ($5.5) scored 1.
Looking Ahead
The ridiculous early season byes are over, so every team is in action. That is good news. The bad news is that now we have international absences, so look closely at your roster to make sure you have replacements for guys like Clint Dempsey, Blas Perez, Jozy Altidore, and Robbie Keane. New England has still not scored a goal in three games, so go with David Bingham (SJ, $5.0) in goal away at the Revs. I like Ike Opara on the road at NY, and if you haven't acquired Jose Villareal (LA, $6.3), he's cheap and effective, so play him in the midfield on the road at DCU. At forward, Octavio Rivero (VAN, $8.7) is really hot right now, with 1 goal in each of his 3 games. Vancouver plays at Portland.
Everyone's Adding: G - Chris Seitz (+415), D - Axel Sjoberg (+809), M - Jose Villareal (+742), F - Octavio Rivero (+1136)
Everyone's Dropping: G - Brian Rowe (LA, $4.5, -151), D - Brek Shea (ORL, $8.0, -344), M - Clint Dempsey (SEA, $11.3, -249), F - Gyasi Zardes (LA, $9.5, -620)
