Harris Poll: NFL Remains King Among U.S. Adults, But Gap With Baseball Closer - SportsBusiness Daily | SportsBusiness Journal | SportsBusiness Daily Global: Soccer has reached its highest popularity ever, with 6% of US adults saying that men's professional soccer is their favorite sport. The number probably undersells the popularity of soccer, because women's soccer gets 1% of the vote on this poll and I would assume that there is a population that considers international soccer to be their favorite. If you combine the men's and women's number, it pushes soccer into a tie for the fourth most popular sport in America, ahead of the NHL and NBA and tied with car racing.
