A product of Serie A side Cagliari's youth set-up could be an interesting option for the backup to the backup.

report from Italy claims that goalkeeper Riccardo Anedda will report at RFK Stadium tomorrow in order to trial for the open goalkeeper position on the squad behind Bill Hamid and Andrew Dykstra. Which obviously begs the question of who exactly is Riccardo Anedda, right?

Well, a quick glance seems to indicate that Anedda came up through Cagliari's youth system, eventually seeing some first team games in 2013 before he went to US Poggibonsi in Serie D that summer. It does not appear that he's been able to find a club since his release last summer, but info on Anedda is a little difficult to find, though his agent is a couple of hours away from the team's camp in Bradenton.

Oh, and there is a sizzle reel for Anedda because why the heck not, right?
