Major League Soccer did the right thing last night and schedule a full slate of mid-week games the day after Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, a day which is typically one of the most boring in all of of sports. But anyways, I'm still kind of sleepy from staying up and watching LA Galaxy beat down the New England Revolution, so let's get into it.
Buzzard Point RFP under scrutiny from D.C. United fans, D.C. Council — Soccer Wire: Councilman Grosso weighs in on the Stadium RFP, and does not agree with Councilman Mendelson.
Luis Silva regains prominence with D.C. United - Washington Times: A good profile on Silva's ups and downs this season.
Hamid's improvements key in United's comeback season | Comcast SportsNet Washington: Fairly obvious to us soccer nerds here, but always good to see more content about D.C. United out there where normal people might see it.
WATCH: Hey Ferris Bueller, check out Mike Magee's Day Off | Chicago Fire: Absolutely the most hilarious thing to come out yesterday, and it is basically flawless. My favorite part has to be DeRo and MB90's faces at the very end.
All-Star: Nine USMNT World Cup veterans, former champion Thierry Henry lead the way in Fan XI | MLSsoccer.com: The All-Star fan vote is basically the World Cup team with Landon Donovan (buuuurn) and Thierry Henry. Now, I wonder why that happened....
Report: Xavi mulling offers from 3 MLS clubs | Soccer By Ives: New York, New York, and Seattle are the three teams, which makes sense as they are the only three big teams that don't have three DPs yet.
Matt Besler confirms Fulham, Sunderland have expressed interest | The Kansas City Star: Those options are....not great.
What else is on your minds today? As always, this is your place for all day soccer talk.
