Fantasy Focus: Vote for Pedro

Singlehanded destruction.

Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

This week we recognize Eleutherian United as high scorer for the round with 91 points. Diego Valeri (POR, $10.5) was captain and scored 38 points with four assists over two games. Next in line was Benny Feilhaber (SKC, $8.5,) who scored 11 points over two games with one assist, followed by his teammate Seth Sinovic ($8.5) with 8 points over two games. Our leader remains In It Toux Wynne It.

Positional Leaders

Goalkeepers

San Jose's Jon Busch ($5.4) saved a penalty on the way to 12 points to lead all goalkeepers. Donovan Ricketts (POR, $5.8) may have allowed 4 goals to Vancouver, but his clean sheet against Chivas spurred him to 10 points and second, while DC's Bill Hamid ($4.9) scored 9 points with his third clean sheet in five matches.

Defenders

Marvel Wynne (COL, $7.4) set the pace for defenders with 10 points on a clean sheet and an assist. Norberto Paparatto (POR, $7.1) played in only one of Portland's games this week, notching a clean sheet and 9 points. Nine players tied for third with 8 points -- Philadelphia's Raymon Gaddis ($6.8), Sheanon Williams ($7.7) and Amobi Okugo ($8.7); Seattle's Leonardo Gonzalez ($6.7) and Chad Marshall ($8.8); Heath Pearce (MTL, $6.8); Sinovic; and DC's Jeff Parke ($6.8). The remaining United defenders were Bobby Boswell ($8.8) with 6 points, Christian Fernandez ($7.1) with 5, Chris Korb ($5.8) with 4, and Sean Franklin ($7.4) with 1.

Midfielders

Vancouver's Pedro Morales ($8.2) scored twice from the penalty spot and added two assists in 90 minutes for 20 points and the positional and overall lead this week. Diego Valeri's 19 were just a hair behind, and Cristian Maidana (PHI, $7.1) scored a goal and an assist on the way to 15 points. Davy Arnaud ($6.8) and Chris Rolfe ($7.2) led the D.C. midfield with 4 points each, while Nick DeLeon ($6.8) scored 3, Perry Kitchen ($6.4) scored 2, and Lewis Neal ($5.3) scored 1. Alex Caskey's ($5.7) red card meant that he scored -2 points.

Forwards

Portland's Fanendo Adi ($8.0) played in his third and fourth MLS games this week and scored 16 points between them, with two goals and an assist, to lead all forwards. Jermain Defoe (TOR, $10.6) scored twice for 14 points, and both Connor Casey (PHI, $7.1) and Deshorn Brown (COL, $7.8) scored twice for 12 points. For United, Fabian Espindola ($8.8) scored for the third consecutive game to lead United forwards with 7 points, while Eddie Johnson ($9.4) scored 2 points.

Looking Ahead

Montreal is on bye, and Columbus, Chicago, Colorado and RSL all play twice. Clint Irwin (COL, $5.0, 55 points) is your goalkeeper to go to, with games vs. Chicago and @ Dallas. You should already have Drew Moor, so think about Leonardo Gonzalez as Seattle travels to Chicago. In midfield, Javier Morales (RSL, $11.3, 84 points) is a must with two games, one of which is against a Portland team that just allowed 4 goals to Vancouver. At forward, keep an eye on Joao Plata's (RSL, $7.3, 60 points) injury status, otherwise Bradley Wright-Phillips (NY, $8.0, 80 points) is @ New England, and he has 10 goals in 7 games. Games start on Wednesday!

Keep in mind that only four MLS teams play the following round, so we get unlimited transfers next week to account for that, and then again the next week to undo it all.

Everyone's Adding: G - Clint Irwin (+361), D - Drew Moor (COL, $7.8, 70 points, +513), M - Dillon Powers (COL, $7.8, 56 points, +519), F - Federico Higuain (CLB, $10.5, 80 points, +893)

Everyone's Dropping: G - Eric Kronberg (SKC, $5.3, 59 points, -331), D - Michel (DAL, $7.7, 60 points, -282), M - Lamar Neagle (SEA, $8.1, 72 points, -307), F - Erick Torres (CHV, $8.7, 71 points, -731)
