Current boss Oscar Ramirez is considered the best coach LDA has ever had, and the board members quoted here are almost too aggressive in dismissing the rumors. Ramirez moving on to a bigger challenge (or payday) would make United's path easier, as Alajuelense is among the most well-drilled and organized teams in CONCACAF.
