CONCACAF announces the schedule for the championship stage of the 2014-15 Champions League

CONCACAF

Start making those plans, D.C. United faithful!  CONCACAF earlier today announced the schedule for the championship stage of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League. D.C. United enters the quarterfinals as the #1 seed in the tournament as the only team who achieved a perfect 4-0 record during the group stage.  As the #1 seed, D.C. United will open on the road in the first leg of the quarterfinals against #8 seed Liga Deportivo Alajuelense (CRC) on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 8:00pm (TV schedule TBD). The return leg will be at RFK Stadium on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 8:00pm.  The winner of the series will move on to face the winner of fellow MLS side, #4 seed Montreal Impact (CAN), and #5 seed Pachuca (MEX).

The first leg of the semifinals will be held March 17-19, 2015, with the return legs being on April 7-9, 2015.  D.C. United, should they advance to the semifinals, would host the 2nd leg at RFK Stadium.  The CONCACAF Champions League final is a 2-leg final, with the first leg being on April 22nd and the final leg on April 29th.

The full championship stage schedule is listed below.  With the dates being announced almost a full month and a half earlier than last year’s announcement, this will hopefully allow scores of Black-and-Red fans to make plans to attend both matches.  Single-game tickets for the home quarterfinal match will go on sale in January, however 2015 season ticket packages--currently on sale--will include a ticket to the home quarterfinal match on March 4th.
