Freedom Kicks, aka your daily link dump, is usually a morning thing, but today SB Nation was experiencing some technical difficulties
and I wanted to sleep in. There was news though, so here is your late edition of Freedom Kicks:
Dave Kasper sat down with the Extra Time podcast to talk about the acquisitions of Eddie Johnson, Booby Boswell, and Sean Franklin among a number of other topics.
The guys over at SBI came up with a MLS Under-23 Best XI team. No D.C. United players made the starting lineup, but Perry Kitchen and Bill Hamid made the honorable mention list.
John Brewin of ESPN sat down with former USA and Egypt head coach Bob Bradley. Bradley is reportedly in talks to become the head coach of a team in Norway. In my opinion, I think Bradley would be better suited for the Vancouver job, but with his resume and success with Egypt, I'm sure that Bradley has a handful of options on where he would like to continue his coaching career.
The votes are in and the winning design of the canned version of DC Brau's "The Tradition" has been announced! I can't wait to tailgate with these in 2014.
The Columbus Crew follow in the footsteps of DCU, Houston, Philadelphia, and others by pairing themselves with a USL PRO team; the Dayton Dutch Lions. The Crew are the sixth club to do so in what looks to be a growing trend among MLS teams
Looks like Clint Dempsey could be headed back to Fulham for a few months on loan. BBC Sport is reporting that he will have a physical with Fulham today.
Head to the comments section for your open thread of any and all soccer, MLS, and DCU topics today.
