D.C. United Salary Information: Branko Boskovic's Contract Revealed

The MLS Player's Union released its list of player salaries once again for the 2012 season. We've already seen the majority of this list earlier this year, but there are a few new pieces of information that I think we all might find interesting.

Perhaps the most vital new revelation is the revised salary of Branko Boskovic. He took a well-publicized and well-received pay cut to stay a member of D.C. United season, and now we know just how much. Boskovic's 2012 compensation is now listed as $242,340, which is less than half of the $545,367 that he was previously scheduled to earn.

The only other change to the D.C. roster since the last salary list release is the addition of Long Tan. The young forward will make just $44,000 this season. Quite a bargain for a player that might even be starting next to Dwayne De Rosario on Saturday. If he gets the nod from Ben Olsen, Tan would be starting ahead of Hamdi Salihi, who is making more than 10 times his salary this year.
