GameThread 26: D.C. United Vs. Seattle Sounders

Playing on the west coast against the second best team in the league, you might expect the odds to be against DC United tonight as they take on the Seattle Sounders, but there's actually a lot in United's favor. They've never lost in Seattle. Their record on the road is better than at home. And the Sounders are coming off a midweek CCL battle overseas. All that leads us to expect a fairly even contest. And one that we could win.

Game time: 9:00 PM

TV: Comcast SportsNet

Projected starting lineup: I'd expect only one change from last week, and it comes as a result of the injury to Chris Pontius. Look for Josh Wolff to return to the starting lineup in the withdrawn forward role behind Charlie Davies. The midfield will consist once again of Santino Quaranta, Dwayne De Rosario, Clyde Simms, and Andy Najar; while the defense will feature Daniel Woolard, Brandon McDonald, Ethan White, and Perry Kitchen. And of course the trusty Bill Hamid will be between the pipes.
