Coming off a big 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes and with its defense looking the best its looked in years, DC United returns hope to RFK Stadium tonight to take on Toronto FC, a team they already beat on the road 3-0 earlier this season. TFC has made a cacophony of changes to its roster since then, but we're still hoping for the same result.
Game time: 7:30 PM
TV: Comcast SportsNet
Projected starting lineup: While some might expect to see Ben Olsen stick with the successful lineup from last week, I think instead we'll see Charlie Davies and Josh Wolff both return to the starting 11 at the top of the formation, with Dwayne De Rosario shifting back into central attacking midfield. He'll be supported by Clyde Simms behind him, Chris Pontius on his right, and Austin da Luz on his left. The backline will remain the same from a week ago with Daniel Woolard, Brandon McDonald, Dejan Jakovic, and Perry Kitchen starting in front of Bill Hamid.
I might not be as active in the GameThread comments tonight, because I'm filling in for my boy Sam Chamberlain on providing live updates for SB Nation D.C. The last time I was on duty at SBNDC for a United game was also the last time these two teams played at RFK Stadium. It was also the last game of the 2010 season, and the last game of Jaime Moreno's career. What you might not remember about that game was that Dwayne De Rosario scored two goals and led his team to victory. Hopefully the same thing happens again tonight.
