GameThread 17: D.C. United Vs. New York Red Bulls

Back in April, we talked about how the New York Red Bulls have built their star-studded roster with incredible talent from foreign countries, while DC United had built its roster around young Americans with potential for greatness. Since then, we saw a bit of a shift. The two teams made a trade, with United acquiring a proven talent in a foreign yet familiar player named Dwayne De Rosario, while the Red Bulls added a rare young American to their starting lineup of talented foreigners in Dax McCarty. How will the players do against their former teams?

Game time: 7:30 PM

Television: Comcast SportsNet

Projected starting lineup: Despite the team giving up another late goal and earning another disappointing 2-2 draw last week, I wouldn't expect any changes to the starting lineup. That means that Bill Hamid will be in goal behind Perry Kitchen, Ethan White, Brandon McDonald, and Daniel Woolard. The midfield will feature Andy Najar, Clyde Simms, De Rosario, and Chris Pontius, with Charlie Davies and Josh Wolff up top.
