Despite the fact that MLS is in the middle of its World Cup break, there are still games that must be played. Tonight, D.C. United takes on the Rochester Rhinos in the US Open Cup fourth round. The winner will take on the winner of tomorrow night's match between the Richmond Kickers and the New England Revolution. So, while you are watching the second half of Russia versus South Korea on your television, fire up the stream of this game and watch!
Time: 7:05 PM EDIT
Venue: Sahlen's Stadium, Rochester, NY
Streaming: This game will be streamed live on D.C. United's website, as well as on YouTube.
Projected D.C. United XI: Andrew Dykstra is likely to be in goal, with Jalen Robinson, Bobby Boswell, Steve Birbaum, and Taylor Kemp ahead of him. The midfield will be Alex Caskey, Davy Arnaud, Jared Jeffrey, and Kyle Porter, while the forwards will be Conor Doyle and Collin Martin.
Prediction: It is always dangerous to be overconfident in these sorts of matches; however, give me a 2-0 victory for United over Rochester.
What are you drinking? Something that my friends left in the fridge from last night's game; I will let you know what it is in the comments.
As always, this is your place for pre-game, in-game, and post-game commentary.
