One week before the season starts, the Washington Spirit (as well as the rest of the NWSL teams) have announced their opening day roster.

After acquiring defensive players in the NWSL allocation, the Washington Spirit switched their focus to attackers in the NWSL draft.

Ali Krieger will play for the Washington Spirit in 2013 as her return from injury continues; national teammates Ashlyn Harris and Lori Lindsey will join her.
