Via Kurt Larson, D.C. United defender Nana Attakora has been recalled to the Canadian National Team to play in their game September 9 against Jamaica at BMO Field in Toronto. Attakora replaces Doneil Henry from Toronto FC. Congrats to Nana and B&RU hope you feature well, sir.
The friendly with Jamaica is between TFC games where they host the Philadelphia Union September 6 and are away to the Chicago Fire September 13. D.C. has their game on September 10 against the New York Red Bulls, thus negating any chance of Attakora being available. Kofi Opare will certainly be around (and nice to have you by the way), but if one were to sort out the back from a comings and goings perspective (and that's what the following words will be about), with the end of the USL PRO regular season on September 6, Conor Shanosky can come back and hang out for the Red Bulls game before the Kickers start their playoff run. And speaking of the USL PRO, Jalen Robinson will return from Arizona United SC next weekend also. Also, Chris Korb may be nearing the end of his convalescence from his hamstring knock last month, so D.C. may not be as thin from a bodies perspective as we think.
