**UPDATE** Clearly everyone has heard about our new neighbor - we are the closest team to Orlando, pointed out by Brendanukkah, and we could have a new rivalry soon! I nominate the unofficial name to be the Orlando City Disney Squad.
Question stands: how do you guys see the upcoming franchises shaping the already-uneven (numerically) league conferences?
According to MLSsoccer.com, a "major announcement" is to take place for Orlando City today. Reuters is also reporting the Orlando City has been awarded a Major League Soccer franchise.
Presumably, the new team would join the eastern conference. How will this shape the league? With the award of NYCFC and another possible franchise to Miami via David Beckham, the number of teams in each franchise would be quite uneven (as they are already, with 10 in the East, and 9 in the West).
We will definitely see some teams shifting around conferences in the next few years. Considering the geographic shape of the league, could we see a further conference shake-up, with more than two? What do you guys think will happen?
