Well, I think we already have celebrated the absolutely fantastic title, now it is time to plan next season. Offseason began right after the game against RSL, and only some friendlies left after winter vacations kick in.
Regarding 2014 and onwards, the title means tranquility. Because of it, our Front Office can breath, seat, relax and plan calmly the next season. But the challenges are huge ahead! We need to improve, and a lot, just to be competitive next season; and Concachampions, MLS and the defense of USOC title are all in the horizon.
It is time to check the roster, the academy, draft options, local and international markets. See who stays, who goes, who could come. Analyze the cap implications. Maybe some changes in the Front Office as well. After all, although we went 4-0-1 in the USOC (the only tie was against D-III Richmond), we are still 3-22-6 in League matches. [Yes, we have won more matches in the Cup than in the League.]
I would like to ask what you think DCU should do. This was a transitional season: we have new owners, a lot of people got fired, including the team's president. We showed this on and off the field, but, miraculously, it paid off.
