D.C. United All-Time ____ XI
Today, dcunited.com released a cool new feature that allows fans to create their All-Time D.C. United Best XI.
At least that's how it's advertised.
The site linked above could also be used for other creative lists. Here's what I've come up with so far:
- The D.C. United All-Time Best Hair Best XI
- The D.C. United All-Time Worst XI
There was some real stiff competition at forward for that last team. How can one choose between Pablo Hernandez, Franco Niell, and Guy Kpene?!

My worst 11
With more of a Rongen/Hudson era flavor.
Some notes:
- I made the step from “big fan” to “obsessive” in 2000. As painful as the last few years have been, 2000-2003 will always seem worse to me as an era (2010 is still very much the worst single year, in every way).
- Expectations play a big factor. There aren’t any college kids that never had a chance, even though they are the realistic worst 11 if you wanted to actually play a game.
